Kritika Saxena has announced on LinkedIn that she has been elevated to Head of Marketing for India at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), marking a significant milestone in her five-year corporate journey. Reflecting on the transition she made from journalism to the corporate world, she shared, “5 years ago I decided to take the plunge from the TV journalism to the corporate world. I have often been asked if it was worth it. After 5 years, I have so many moments, even daily, that I can find myself saying a whole hearted yes to that question.”
In her new role, Kritika will lead marketing strategy across India, strengthen the brand’s regional presence, work closely with business leadership, and oversee TCS’s flagship experience center in Mumbai. She noted the continuity in her craft, adding, “one lesson stands out for me that is common for marketing, communications and journalism ..good storytelling is at the heart of everything!” She also expressed excitement about advancing the #AcceleratingIndia campaign, calling it a special part of her TCS journey.
Before her leadership roles at TCS, Kritika built a distinguished media career spanning over 12+ years at CNBC-TV18, where she served as Chief of Bureau for Mumbai & South India, anchored major business shows, and reported on India’s biggest corporate developments. Her earlier roles include work with BBC Worldwide, Sanskriti Media & Entertainment, The Times Group, and creative storytelling assignments at Adobe Entertainment India.
Kritika acknowledged the culture of growth at TCS, mentioning she remains forever amazed at how TCS encourages career elevation and expansion for everyone within its vast boundaries. She also thanked Abhinav Kumar, Girish Ramachandran, and her global teams for a “rewarding 5 years.”
